Cyberpunk Day

Cyberpunk day in the middle of August. Today is a somber anniversary, today marks the four year anniversary of my father's passing at 3:33pm. I found myself once again sitting here replaying that days events over in my thoughts. Ultimately I don't think that is too healthy, I do miss my father but I shouldn't be putting myself through that day's events as they were quite painful. It should suffice that I think of my father often, I miss him and while he was here I loved him very much.

So on to the topic at hand. HOT SUMMER! Cyberpunk Summer no less as I have a computer glowing a beautiful blue at my right hand. I just returned from a visit to my Doctor, it was a positive encounter with all of my numbers finally starting to get back to normal. Doctor asked "Do you require any more medication?" HELL YEAH! I said, start funneling those pills my way and I will start popping them like candy. (As I often do with vitamin C. Be sure to pop those vitamin C's <- I will add a "right on" here.

Included in the body of this entry is a screenshot from Cloud-Punk, another Cyberpunk genre game... Isn't Cyberpunk all the rage? I think it's more than just a term and it is more than just people dressed up and running around with wires sticking out of the back of their heads. It's more than just a manner of speech. It's the way your decorate your house, stylize your car, yes the way you dress as well, of course. The way you speak, the things you do, the places you go or "don't go" as in, I live in the virtual realm now.

It's the color of light you choose. Ever notice that in Cyberpunk style photographs and paintings. Heavy on the electric blue and pinks... some purple thrown in... maybe a soft glowing lime green accent... you've seen it. But it can also be trash. It can be an old trailer home somebody is living in just outside of suburbia. Or it could be a trailer park located right in the middle of suburbia. It's also that high rise apartment in the middle of the city, all steel, glass and chrome.

So there, we've solved the equation haven't we? Cyberpunk is what you make of it and how you make it. So today in the middle of August we have a Cyberpunk day. Right on.
